Cx Timeline

Our Cx timeline is dependent on construction, but we ask questions to make sure necessary coordination is happening to meet milestones.

  • Our work starts as soon as we are hired and continues through the warranty phase.

  • While we would ideally perform functional testing after all other work is completed and prior to occupancy, we recognize that this is not always feasible. We are flexible: completing prefunctional checks during construction and functional tests during occupancy if needed.

  • Our checks and tests are dependent on other trades completing their work. During construction, we are on the look-out for places where time could be saved, or where something might delay work. Our ongoing prefunctional checks mean we can address issues while trades are still on-site, so corrections can be made quickly and without the additional cost of call-backs. Things we look for during prefunctional checks include:

    • Adherence to design intent.

    • Service clearances and accessibility.

    • Anything that would affect performance and commissionability, such as excessive bends in ductwork near a piece of equipment which would cause excessive pressure drop, turbulence, and noise.

  • We are a small, nimble team, so modifying our schedule to accommodate the Owner, contractors, and designers is easy. While we are working on multiple projects at any given time, most are local — we are able to simply get where we need to go when we are needed.

  • Our schedule or availability will NEVER hold up any aspect of the project.
